Pam Darnell and Daryl Darnell Owners of Happy Howls      (top picture) 2007 Goose Bay 120  Established in 1994, Happy Howls Kennel has been focused on enjoying the sport of dog mushing, proper sled dog care and the sharing of these experiences with others. Sometimes, however, we do run a mid-distance race from time to time. We especially enjoy working with Jr. Iditarod mushers and giving sled rides to individuals from around the globe. The kennel is based in the heart some of the most scenic country in the world, Big Lake, Alaska.             The 2004 Denali Dash,120 mile race, set the back-drop for this picture. The trail went from Meirs Lake to Mclaren Summit on the Denali Highway and back again.  Only seven dogs were allowed to make up the team. What they say about the scenery never changing unless you're the lead dog, in this case wasn't true.                                                               Provided by the web hosting guide.
